It is apparently one of the earlier locked room mysteries to be written, but I won't say that it is the best one I've read. It's a great book, has a great plot and, of course, has a great explanation to the locked room mystery! The character of Rouletabille is quite entertaining too!
It is certainly a book a locked room mystery enthusiast should read.
