Sean Randall reviewed Battlefield earth by L. Ron Hubbard

This was a really interesting read, though at eleven hours and fifty-seven minutes of reading time it did drag a little in spots. I can't help but compare it to [b:Subjugation|6765675|Subjugation (Subjugation, #1)|James Galloway|http://www.goodreads.com/assets/nocover/60x80.png|6964066], the Galloway selfpublisher, which seemed a more modern take on the whole thing.
I found it quite clever how, just when one crisis ends, another appeared.
For its time, it was doubtless a very impressive work; it's certainly long enough and it did at least keep my interest. My favourite chapter, incidentally, is the first one of part 12.
