One of the best books I've read and I read about 50 books a year. DeLillo is a literary genius, and his portrait of America in the 1950s is brilliant. Hang in there with it; it isn't necessarily a quick read, but rather something to savor and enjoy. That said, don't be daunted, it is totally accessible and enthralling. I'm on my 3rd time through; it holds up extremely well. Enjoy.
