wonderful book. interesting, and different, and - at the end - suddenly turning into a romance. plus an ending to bring you to tears with happiness...
the author has a few themes that are repeated subtly: one is about gender inequality, and the other is the idea of 'owning' our children - such a weird stance in a book about elongating a woman's fertility in order to postpone procreation. or maybe that's the point - the desire to deprioritize the child-rearing phase in order to acheive x,y and z. (wo)man is a fickle beast. i most definitely want to read more from her.
