I can understand why this series didn't translate well to television. That being said, I love it. Dresden is hilarious, and the banter is awesome, while still being believable. The juxtaposition between the gruesome horror and the adorable supernatural (Pizza-Loving Faeries!) is perfect in a "that's just how life is" kind of way, and makes them both easier to stomach. I'm very excited to continue the series.
