Picked this up as a recommendation from Ken MacLeod's Twitter. It was, average. There was nothing original here. The main plot thrust reminded me of Dan Simmon's Flashback, just executed with less craft than that book. No character engaged. The villains were predictable and one dimensional. I guess this just wasn't the book for me. I did finish, so it was readable. Just ... boring, really.
