I thought this was a short story, and was pleasantly surprised to find a full-blown novel waiting for me instead. Courtroom drama has never quite been my thing, but this was sedate and quiet enough that I enjoyed it, despite the overwhelmingly stentorian black message and the by now standard promulgation of canadian superiority.I thought this was a short story, and was pleasantly surprised to find a full-blown novel waiting for me instead.
