At this point, publishers should just buy fanfiction, it will be better than these kinds of books.
These Violent delights was in the November fairyloot Box. I would have otherwise passed this book up, knowing it would make me angry. But since I got it, I wanted to give it a try, hoping that it would at least be funny and entertaining.
It could not even deliver that.
I made it to 60% and finally decided to dnf this book, because it's actually not readable.

I have no idea, why there is not one person in this book having an actual chinese name?
I also do not understand why there are not better Russian names you could have taken? Here let me give you a list
Aljona
Viktoria
Katharina
Alexandra
Irina
Sofia
Every available Form of
Andrej
Alexander
Daniel
Ivan
Vladislav
Vladimir
Boris
Piotr
Fijodor
The list is long, there are a lot of russians and a lot of possible names. Why did you have to pick the ones which sound the least bit russian?
According to your book, chinese parents all call their children with English names. I do not believe. I rather find that curious.
But when the author is asked, here is what she replies
I'm going to clear this up once more bc this thread keeps getting reactivated and I'm not going to reply direct when this person only wants to complain
