I don't read many german authors, but if Kerstin Gier publishes a new book it has become quite mandatory to read it. This book was awfully German (in comparsion to the ruby red and silver series). I mean it's about a fucking hotel in the suiss alps. It felt, at times, like watching a german TV soap opera (don't ever try that, they are awful). But it was funny as always, and had some fun twists in between and the story was well paced. The Characters were stylized and grew on you, and actually you just wanted to be in Fanny's shoes, and do the internship at a hotel. I still like silver more, but one definitely can't go wrong with this book.
