I enjoyed this book. Atlee is an interesting character as are the supporting characters and her building relationships to them. I thought Baldacci did a nice job of creating a heavily contemporary political thriller without taking political sides, a difficult task in our current climate. It's clear that Baldacci has big plans for this series as the biggest surprise of this novel is that the plot doesn't really revolve around Pine's biggest personal tragedy, which is heavily described in all of the published materials on this book.
