"A publisher in New York asked me to write down what I know about the Greek gods, and I was like, 'Can we do this anonymously?' Because I don't need the Olympians mad at me again. But if it helps you to know your Greek gods, and survive an encounter with them if they ever show up in your face, then I guess writing all this down will be my good deed for the week."
So begins Percy Jackson's Greek Gods, in which the son of Poseidon adds his own magic - and sarcastic asides - to the classics. He explains how the world was created, then gives listeners his personal take on a who's who of ancients, from Apollo to Zeus. Percy Jackson takes you on a journey through the myths of Greek Mythology. Of course he does warn you that some of the myths might be different from the ones you have heard about or read. He even adds his own spin to conversations with lots of humor dashed into them because you know those Gods can be a bit boring.
This book was definitely a nice little addition to the Percy Jackson world. It was also a nice little distraction from the upcoming final book of the Lost Heroes. It was a fun read and there were moments of giggles especially when it came to Percy's version of conversations or how a certain God may have acted. I am quite sure the Gods, once they have gotten their hands on this book, were probably not a bit amused by Percy. At least, I doubt they ever would be.

This book is a nice addition to any collector of the series or if you are trying to get your child into reading, I would recommend this book to them.
