As head of Edinburgh's CID, Detective Chief Superintendent Bob Skinner has seen it all. But the discovery of the savagely mutilated corpse of a young lawyer in a dark alleyway shocks the DCS and his team to the core. And when the lawyer's fiancee is found dead, Skinner realises that he has a cold-blooded killer on his hands.
