I couldn’t get past the first couple of chapters. Based on my background, I’m supposed to love this book. If I had read it when I was a teenager, I probably would have. But I could not get over how trashy the scene and people were. It probably gets better in the next chapter, but I’m done with it. It was an odd reading experience.
