i think this is seriously the most beat up book i've ever taken out from the library, and the datestamp says they only bought it in august of 2023

a lot slower than i was expecting, i'd imagined the movie had omitted a lot especially because of vague things my ma told me, but i didn't realize there'd be THIS much. the comparative slowness was a bit frustrating at first but now i've grown to appreciate it and how much extra it really does add

must feel goofy as hell but also fortuitous to be a person whose last name is "bird" and be working on a book like this

though there's that "impressively funny" quote slapped on the cover, i think any attempts at humor have whizzed right over my head because of how horrified i've been while reading the book so far, because pretty much nothing has made me laugh or occurred to me as funny. not until this "is dwayne johnson god?" line, that's the first laugh that's been coaxed outta me!

i'm very glad i didn't opt to listen to the audiobook narrated by jennette, because i think actually HEARING her talk about a lot of this would've just driven me insane, i do not think i could handle it

Went to the library just to pick up some books I placed on hold that needed to be shipped from another library, but I ended up grabbing so many extra books on a whim that I almost could not fit them in my bag!! This was one of the ones I grabbed on a whim, with a title like that how could I not?
