Ryan T. Anderson (born 1981 or 1982) is an American conservative political philosopher who is best known for his opposition to same-sex marriage. He is currently president of the Ethics and Public Policy Center. He was previously the William E. Simon Senior Research Fellow at The Heritage Foundation and the founder and editor-in-chief of Public Discourse, the Witherspoon Institute's online journal.Anderson was born in Baltimore. He grew up with three older brothers and one younger brother. Anderson received his bachelor of arts degree from Princeton University and his doctorate in political philosophy from the University of Notre Dame.
