Alexander Macris

Alexander Macris is an entrepreneur, game designer, author, and business executive. A graduate of Harvard Law School magna cum laude (2000), Alexander founded and ran the MMORPG consultancy Themis Group in 2001 as well as the videogame media websites WarCry and The Escapist in 2005. Under his leadership, The Escapist earned 6 Webby Awards and was named by Time Magazine as one of the top 20 websites on the internet. He has worked on more than 40 different videogame titles as a designer, marketer, or consultant. He also has run the operations of the casual game sites Addicting Games and Shockwave and the men's lifestyle websites Break.com and EveryJoe.com. In 2011 he founded Autarch LLC, a game development studio that publishes the Adventurer Conqueror King System, and has served as lead designer on its entire product line.
