How has finance capitalism worsened social inequality, deepened poverty, increased macroeconomic instability and hastened the degradation of the climate? And how might democratic processes be created for investing for the social and environmental good?
I am a critical social theorist and political sociologist at the University of California, Santa Cruz, that works on solving these intertwined dilemmas through scholarship, activism, and policy design.
