another read for the GD summer challenge, this was a new author for me. when talking about Girl Detective's challenge and Lizzie Skurnick's book, it was either my sister or cousin who announced her love of this author. she seems to be prolific so, with someone to vouch for her, I decided to squeeze another book in my already full roster. I'm glad. this book reminded me of The Girl Who Owned A City' and I LOVED this type of modern-day survival book when I was a girl. perfect timing with the summer here and my daughter needing lots of (quality) books to fill her free time. as a bonus, this is the first of seven (!) books about this girl.
