One of the worst plot wise but with some great 5 star moments.

The sweeping tale of one young family fighting to find their place in the worlds. When two soldiers from opposite sides of a never-ending galactic war fall in love, they risk everything to bring a fragile new life into a dangerous old universe. Fantasy and science fiction are wed like never before in a sexy, subversive drama for adults.
One of the worst plot wise but with some great 5 star moments.
This was recommended to me (and I did like Y The Last Man) but it's definitely closer to the fantasy genre with it's multiple planets, creatures and inventions. So not really my jam. Except:
the hook is it's framed as a universal new parenting story AND the way that theme is layered over the battles and other-worldly plot points is quite creative. so I like well enough and I'll give it a go.
My library only had the first volume, which I loved. Hopefully they will pick up other volumes. Great fantastical characters/creatures. The dialog was a little too cute, but it went along with the general feel of the story of just being fun to read.
Wonderful.
