Slade House is the seventh novel by British novelist David Mitchell. The novel received mixed reviews. Slade House originated as a Twitter story which was then developed into a full novel, and is a companion to The Bone Clocks. Set between the late seventies and the present, the novel explores the mysterious Slade House and a number of characters who are drawn to it.
Captivating and slightly unnerving, I found myself turning the pages and rather addicted. The ending was a bit of a let-down in comparison to the buildup, but each of the previous cycles built interestingly on the former and I found myself coming away very satisfied overall.
Mi è piaciuta l'idea su cui si basa la trama e i personaggi, nei seppur brevi capitoli dove si incontrano, sono molto ben caratterizzati. Non mi è piaciuto molto, invece, il modo un cui vengono gestiti gli svelamenti dei retroscena. Darei più un 3,5/5, ma comunque è un bel libro, piuttosto breve e godibile, quindi arrotondo per eccesso!
