Some fairly standard scifi suspension of disbelief is required, but the story rewards it. A noticeable lack of diversity in the humans is made up for in other species. The different perspectives are great, conflict is so much more engaging when you understand the different sides.
Po Kleci dusi od stejnyho autora sem cekal mistama slozitejsi pasaze. Celkem originalni knizka, kdy se jeden experiment trosku vymkl a zbytky lidstva se s tim experimentem o par tisic let opet potkaji. Mozna castecne i sonda lidstvi (ne zrovna pozitivni).

I enjoyed this one a lot. The ending left a little bit more to be desired, but overall it was a great read.
What a great book. I'm so happy I went back to it, and I'm looking forward to starting the second book in the trilogy, probably in the new year.
I would highly recommend this to any and all sci fi fans.
Incredible! "The smartest evolutionary world-building you'll ever read", indeed! I was not expecting that wonderful ending. I was bracing myself for an ending I would not like, but I was wrong!
I can't wait to start the second book.
