A primarily U.S.-centric view of the who, what and why of massive data surveillance at the time of the book's publication (2015).

Review of 'Data and Goliath' on 'Goodreads'

4 stars

Clear, persuasive, and full of well-referenced reasoning and arguments. A good companion for demonstrating the folly of mass surveillance to non-security-engineers. Unfortunately, it asks a lot more questions than it answers (because answering them is very hard, and potentially requires fundamental changes to society).
