Wikinomics: How Mass Collaboration Changes Everything is a book by Don Tapscott and Anthony D. Williams, first published in December 2006. It explores how some companies in the early 21st century have used mass collaboration and open-source technology, such as wikis, to be successful. The term 'Wikinomics' describes the effects of extensive collaboration and user-participation and how relationships between businesses and markets have changed as a result.

This book is a products of its time. Things move quickly in the world of the internet. When this book was written Facebook and Youtube were still fairly new.

It covers all sorts of projects that involve cooperation and sharing of information. I think it's aimed as business people, but there was still lots of interest to me.

I'm very into things like wiki as a way of sharing information and would like to be move involved with open source software projects. It's not about making money.
