an author talented enough in description and in a character's 'voice' to interest me in endurance swimming! that's gotta say something :)
this book could be quite succesful in the current flash-required teen reading. it's premise is bland enough: a character reveals she was abused by her father and - for fear of her life - won't report it. but then plot veers into (should be absurd but i didn't notice until almost the end) quite a suspenceful read.
