[guessing at the star rating / mining my old FB notes now that they are almost impossible to find]

allelulia! this woman is preaching to the choir - so much of what she has to say has been said by me before. the difference? she's actually FUNNY while doing it. on top of child rearing issues, she takes aim at celebrity baby bumps, reality tv, celebrities writing children's books (arggh! another pet peeve of mine) and 'huzzzbands'. the essays are a bit dated - talking about the simple life with paris hilton, queer eye for the straight guy, ebay, and hillary duff - but work for me in that it's about the same time frame that i, too, had to walk across the aisle from the sweet 4-6X clothes to the g-r-o-s-s and taudry styles of the 7 & ups. i ended up buying most of my daughter's clothes from …
