[guessing at the star rating / mining my old FB notes now that they are almost impossible to find]
another one read at the dude ranch, and it utterly mystified me: just who is the target audience supposed to be? the main character is a knobby-kneed 14 yo whose never been kissed, and yet the humour would simply go over a YA crowd (one of the 'lads' sings: girlfriend in a river, i know, i know it's really serious à la morrissey) (yup, it was another british one) it reminded of bridget jones' diary - if her diary went on and on about nothing.
