What a vapid waste of time. A plus sized (I guess the 'big' of big summer) woman has a boo-hoo highschool/college experience, trips her way into slight infamy, and exploits that 20 minutes of fame to pedal herself into the minor leagues of instagram influencer culture. She reconnects with her former friend/tormentor for a mutually beneficial collaboration/wedding but singsongs her praises once said friend/tormentor turns up dead/murdered. Oh then she turns into Nancy Drew. God. The very essence of an empty summer read compounded by the author's thirst to show her social justice bonafides (pg. 299 paraphrase: "Oh no, don't tell me my boyfriend might be the type to insist there are only two genders?!" Um, did we meet more than two in your novel?)
