What a snapshot in time! I read this book when it first came out (18 months ago) and already the stories it covers are almost nostalgic for me: Aziz Ansari and #metoo overreach, famed Weinstein-accuser Asia Argento getting caught with an underage boy and the whiplash of backlash, the Kavanaugh hearings, Jussie Smollett, and YA books being cancelled left right and center. It really brings home the truth that we are immersed - shallow and wide - in the present culture at the detriment of knowing deep history. Our gen is the last to have experienced analog adult life and we are obsolete before our time; the younger gen has no use for us, no wisdom they want from us. we are in the way.
