Review of 'The End of the World Running Club' on 'Goodreads'

3 stars

Okay, while I liked this book, I really don't like the main character, Ed. The novel itself is as much about the plot and characters as it is about how running affects the mind and thinking. Walker does a nice job of conveying the mental state of Ed as he develops into a runner and a better person. I like the moments around the campfires.

I almost stopped reading this, but about chapter 13 the novel changes and the characters start to develop faster. The plot, however, is never really fast. This novel is driven by the characters, which I do like. Hugh is my favorite.
