Review of 'Rosemary and Rue' on 'Goodreads'

Seanan McGuire also writes under Mira Grant and her Newsflesh trilogy was fantastic. Thus, I decided to give her urban fantasy a go as it is a genre I tend to avoid. This was, decent. It set the scene, avoided having any Mary Sue's and the plot clipped along at a decent pace. I was engaged enough to finish it in a couple of days. Hardly ringing praise but this was obviously a first published novel and lacked the emotional range she showed in the Newsflesh trilogy. Certainly it was good enough to make the second one next on my reading list.
