So fun! The lead character has a sustained, hilarious voice. The story playfully swirls together gaming, multiverses, linguistics, and politics. It offered a much more enticing case for anarchy than Doctorow’s pendantic Walkaway. By the time I finished this, my throat hurt, even while I longed to try out power morphemes.

This was a fun mash up of online gaming, dance music club scene, alien punctuation marks granting magic powers (trust me) and an existential crisis in our mass subconscious. Add to this heady blend a lively dose of droll humour and some inventive set pieces and you have a recipe for a wild read.
A tad long maybe, in my opinion, which is reflected in my scoring but its not a serious detraction from the quality delivered.
Recommended.
