Velocity Weapon Lib/E

Despite loving some of the cliffhanger chapter endings, I found this all a little too predictable and obvious. Nothing wrong with that, it's a virtue of space opera, and although there were glimmerings of some higher-order works (Scalzi's interdependency, Jim Buther's Janitorial saga etc), I struggled to engage very well with the worldbuilding.

This was very good. A multiple POV novel and it does take up until about half way through for the author to get to grips with it. The female protagonist is a bit of a Mary Sue as well. That being said this was a very enjoyable romp. Twists you don't see coming. Engaging characters. Good storytelling that fair crackles along. I will be continuing with this series. Recommended.
