How did I miss this series when it came out? I picked this up as a wayback recommendation and it did not disappoint. There are echoes of Grimwood's magisterial Arabesk trilogy here but this is an entirely different beast. A cyberpunk world where not only can you alter your mind through drugs, your body through surgery; you can also change your personality through technology. Pop in a device to your head and you can be someone different or learn something immediately. Add into this concept a grungy cityscape of junkies, grifters and the broken. Mix in politics and serial murder. Stir. Then you have a stonking read that keeps you gripped. Recommended.
