Frank Burns reviewed Kill Society by Richard Kadrey
Review of 'Kill Society' on 'Goodreads'
4 stars
This is Kadrey's homage to George Miller. I found it slightly tougher going than the other ones. I think partly because it isn't set in LA. I feel Kadrey is at his best in LA, he has a real affinity for the place.
This is also a 'figuring it all out book'. I think after this he knows how he is going to stick the landing but it took this book to figure it out. Which is to say the main plot engine for this one feels a bit unnecessary and is only there because he wanted to do a George Miller riff. Still a solid 4 and remains a recommend but only if you wish to keep up with the series.
