Sorry, but I didn't finish this. I thought I had read some of this author's work before but a quick scan of his bibliography doesn't have anything standing out for me. This is retrograde human societies living on a colossal space construct. Ignorant mice amongst the abandoned technological wonders. The pacing, I found, was plodding. I didn't relate to the main protagonist and I was a good quarter of the way in and I still didn't have a sense of what the main plot was going to be. I cannot recommend.
