Frank Burns reviewed Empress of Forever by Max Gladstone

Very, very good. A fast-paced sci-fi romp that explores a few things while still belting along on the main plot. No diversions, no exposition that wasn't well placed. No 'fat' at all. I am struck mostly by how this was a story about finding friendship in unlikely places and how those friendships can help you overcome anything. Even yourself. Obviously recommended and now I am going to have to go back and re-read the first one of the Craft sequence which didn't impress me all that much on the first round.
