Frank Burns reviewed Neptune's brood by Charles Stross
Review of "Neptune's Brood (Freyaverse #2)" on 'Goodreads'
4 stars
This is my least favourite of Charles Stross's settings and I actually thought Saturn's Children was pretty poor (compared to his other stuff, he's still a fantastic author). This is much better. Rather than trying to be a pastiche of one of Heinlein's weaker novels using anthromorphised robots this embraces the setting properly. The marriage of the speculative economics with the large-canvas world building is in the finest traditions of the best sf and the pages just kept turning.
