Seven and The Doctor are on as good form as ever, but with Janeway behind a desk, Chakotay in the captain's chair and Kim on security, it's certainly not the voyager of old. In fact, the only thing that stops this being a story about any old Intrepid Class starship is the people. I'll be reading the sequel just to see where it goes but I can't quite shake the feeling that Voyager limping out of the delta quadrant was the end of the matter on screen and should perhaps have been on paper, too.
