Uhm, I somehow believed this would be kind of new and thrilling. I saw the author giving a talk on Google YouTube. I found the author charming, the jokes quite funny and the idea of an all asian cast movie quite impressive. So when audible came along holding up the book in my face, telling me I ought to read this, I was like "ok".
However my expectation were too high I guess. This book is basically all asian dramas "poor girl meets rich boy" in a Nutshell. With. Much. More. Brands. You know in K-dramas you know all the brand stuff you see is sponsored. This makes it possible to finance the Drama and makes it awesome (and we love awesome K-Dramas). But all this in a Book? Wow, how annoying. So maybe if we view it from the literary side, this might make sense to set a contrast …

Wow, how annoying. So maybe if we view it from the literary side, this might make sense to set a contrast that all those great names don't have a meaning, but wasn't there a different way to do this? Because it was still super annoying.
Now, aside from that, did I discover something new? Maybe, apparently Singapore and Malaysia have good food, and are also located in Asia.
That's it. I think.
It was your same kind of asian Drama written from a male perspective. So if you want to have the same kind of story you can watch on the screen as a book, read it. If you are fed up with Dramas and they bore you, don't touch it. If you have never touched a Drama and you have no clue what I am talking about. Read it!
