Army of the Brave and Accidental

I'm not going to say I fully understood what was going on all the time, because it's not that sort of tale. There's certainly a hint of the unstuck Billy Pilgrim in Boyd's narrative as his characters hop/skip/jump through time and space, and his sparsely effective prose can echo Vonnegut at his most elliptical.

However, I WILL say that Alex Boyd has crafted an unexpectedly touching time-travel story that inspires and delights in equal measure.
