A truly fine, intelligent, original take on the subgenre of "Dystopian Nightmare Landscape" (with an [un]healthy dollop of PandemicLit). Littered with just enough tidbits to make the world mysterious yet believable, Mohamed's story of a young woman striving to find herself in the rubble of civilization is a near-perfect example of "hopepunk," a genre I dearly hope we see more of.
