Great conclusion to the series

5 stars

DS9 is probably my favorite Star Trek series, and so I was really looking forward to this particular trilogy to fill in the backstory. The series didn't disappoint, and this final novel in the series did a great job of bringing us up to the events of the beginning of DS9. The writing about characters we already know from the series seemed right in line with their established personalities from television, and I particularly enjoyed the Cardassian characters, who are given plenty of depth. There is no doubting their ruthlessness, but the books give additional room to explore different aspects of their society. I enjoyed every book in the trilogy, and this was a terrific conclusion.
