An Important Perspective

4 stars

This is a powerful reflection from someone who grew up in the South. Ty Seidule ended up teaching at West Point. His perspective of going through life without questioning the stories and legends, and how that changed, is interesting. He points out how important history, our view of history, and how/what we teach really is. This book really helps share perspectives on our environment today. America's constant quest to be better and our basis in what we think the past is is a crucial point. The book does get a bit repetitious though.
