I love this series. Until these books, I didn't know how much I loved the noir mystery story.
This third novel is probably the most complex of the series thus far simply by sheer quantity of characters/names. Not every person involved in the mystery is actually a character because we never really spend any time with them.
For me, I think my attraction to these mysteries is the femme fatale, and this story has a glut of them. Baldacci does a nice job of fitting the female characters into the time (1953) and at the same time empowering them.
I like most of the character development and changes resulting from the plot. One of the changes stings a bit, but I’m looking forward to more Archer novels.
