Summary of Mercy by David Baldacci

I'm glad that I read this was the final book in the series before I started reading it. Knowing so let me look forward to the conclusion, and Baldacci didn't disappoint. He did a nice job of tidying up various plot thread while building a new(ish) character in Mercy Pines.

Baldacci spends several middle chapters with Mercy to give the reader a sense of who she is. It isn't coincidental that she seeks justice and fair play while at the same time being abrupt and sometimes harsh with people. In the end, she and Atlee are very similar.

I think my favorite character is Carol though. She's such a mom, unflappable and tough. I wish we'd gotten more of her at the end of the story.
