DigitalRob reviewed Neon Prey by John Sandford
Review of 'Neon Prey' on 'Goodreads'
3 stars
Okay, this book was a fine entry in the Prey series, not among the best or the worst, just okay. As a native Nevadan, I particularly liked the settings. Sandford did an outstanding job of using real landmarks and other features of both Las Vegas and Beatty. I'm guessing that folks won't believe that the drainage tunnels under the Strip are used as homeless camps, but that is completely real.
As far as the plot, meh. The bad guys just didn't move me to care, and they didn't really create suspense. There is, however, one OMG moment in the novel that made me think this was a game changer. Maybe someone will read this and think it does change the game. I didn't.
