Review of 'The gun and Irish politics' on 'Goodreads'

4 stars

In this book, the author examines Neil Jordan's 1996 film 'Michael Collins'- how it was crafted by Jordan, and how it affected and reflected Irish and foreign attitudes about Ireland. All chapters are good, but I found the author's analysis of the film itself (cinematography, dialog, actors' reputations, etc.) and its critics to be especially insightful. Bibliography also includes a wealth of information.
