Tiamat's Wrath is a science fiction novel by James S. A. Corey, the pen name of Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck, and the eighth book in their series The Expanse. Following the series' tradition of referring to ancient mythology in its titles, the book's title references the Babylonian goddess Tiamat who took part in the creation of the universe.

Favourite one in a long while. I found books #5 and #7 very bleak (first time around, at least) as lots of things go wrong and don't get fixed. However it does make things more satisfying when they do get fixed. Turns out though, not all my (very favourite) characters can last for ever though. Sad times! This one is a slow starter but crackles along by the end.

Didn't manage to finish this ahead of the TV series for once, got very confused. It doesn't help that the series (at time of writing) was cut short early, so series 6 was "mostly book six, with a lot of foreshadowing of books 7-8 that then just gets cut off back to book six again".
