Something of a mixed bag - I found the stories of people who were bringing about change in the wider world extremely inspiring: building community gardens, facilitating understanding and cooperation between faith groups, creating safe spaces for people to share their fears and despair at environmental damage, managing a diverse team of people working on a transition initiative. I must admit I found the stories of personal life changes and epiphanies rather less so, and although I'm happy for the people concerned that they've managed to make lives with more meaning for themseleves I struggled to see their relevance to the wider movement for sustainability and social justice. However I suspect that different stories will appeal to different people depending on which aspect of change they are interested in, and the book was beautifully written and illustrated throughout.
