well written, deeply personal
4 stars
I'm not as familiar with the author's research and writing as I should be, but I certainly know of her and the MIT circles she traveled in (she was even married to Seymour Papert for a while). That part of her memoir is interesting, especially looking back now (Marvin Minsky's reputation is somewhat tarnished post-Epstein), but I find the earlier part of her memoir more interesting and emotionally resonant (befitting the title of the book).
